Facebook search has a function that tells you whether someone is trending or not. You can use that or hire a developer to build a tool to extract the information at large.

You can see directly on Facebook and even on Instagram that is part of the same network, what is trending, popular, what people often search, and so on, as this will definitely help you get some ideas.
