Ideas For Increasing Value of Site to Flip

I own a site, it's in it's extreme infancy. I've wanted to unload the domain for a while but have not pushed hard. So, in an effort to increase the value, I added a WP blog and installed a review theme.

I'm not sure the BHW policy of posting links to live sites so I will refrain from it, but I'm looking for some advice in how to monetize the site and increase the value.

I sent you a PM. I have been flipping for some time. I have some tips, and 2 sites that we can list for you to learn with.
 
The easiest thing to do is to add tarffic to the site. There are many good offers from our forum Members available, starting from $5. Try to take it in a steadier flow, not in one sharp bast. And you could add a product of your own out of the PLR or MRR threads. Good header graphics would not harm either - XHeade Pro was just shared here. And an address capture for list-building. And a video using Sitepal.

I've been reading through this site for months and have tried several techniques.

I dont know much about site flipping and would like to.

Atomicvenom, I see you have good experience on that, would you tell us in a few brief steps what to do and waht do we need in order to make money from site flipping. Please?

scrapebox, xrumer, buy cheap traffic to pump stats before sale...
 
@amcafd - do you know for sure if bought traffic is ok ? -- is this sometihing people will notice ? - have people done this ?
 
Like myself, there are a lot of noobs on flippa..which means to say majority won;t know if the traffic was bought...unless theyre smart enough to differentiate
 
Try adsense. It won't bring in a lot, but at least some.

There are pros and cons to buying traffic. If you start trickling in and show a steady increase in traffic (say, with directory submissions...) and THEN have a lot of traffic then it will be much better than everything all at once.

I imagine people are doing this. I don't know how'd they figure it out. I guess it depends on where the source is on your reports. I've never done it...

So what? It's still ripping people off since the traffic was bought and not normal for the site.

What happens when the new buyer takes over and doesn't have close to as much traffic as you advertised?

I'm all about increasing the value of a site, but not by deceiving people to do it. Your reputation will follow you around on Flippa and if you plan on doing a lot of business there, why would you want to ruin it over a few extra dollars?
 
How much wold a website value at with UV per month but no income ?

That question is way too broad and impossible to answer. A lot of factors determine what it would finally be worth. To name a few: the amount of traffic, the domain itself, what countries the traffic is mainly from, if it's natural from the search engines, referral traffic, paid, etc., the market that the site is in, the age of the site, the overall potential, and much more.

If you want an answer to that question, you have to give more details.
 
Earn some money with the site. Then hype it up with marketing methods and tell them exactly how they will make money from the site

UV from US, CA, Europe, AU, from search engine and youtube. New domain about a month old.
 
Is traffic really a criteria for the price of a site? You can easily inflate it with proxies and it would show up on alexa.

I totally agree. Its better to just do some good SEO, try to up the pagerank of the site. Get some real traffic, and get some adsense or intext links with hydra (depends what niche your in). But buying traffic to deceive is not the way they will definatly find out and you'll be out of business on flippa.
