I'm looking for ideas for a web-based domain tool.

I'm not sure what it would entail yet. but I'm thinking of scraping information from a variety of sources for a given domain name.

Hosting history, whois history, web archive data, google indexed/cache -- what else would you want in a tool like this?

ahrefs is just for backlinks...i wouldn't be able to scrape their data w/o using proxies.

Some guy wrote one recently, he made millions off an apparently 'perfect' algorithm he used to flip domains, he has since created a program that registers domains according to certain factors.

interesting. i still have yet to flip a domain in the past 3 months.
