Ideas for cracking high-competition realty keywords

I'm in the process of ranking some fairly high competition realty related keywords for a city. But it appears that I have hit a wall right at the top of the 2nd page, hovering between 11 and 14 on any given day.

Thus far I've spearheaded the campaign using mostly Senuke as the backbone, with heavy usage of "social network" articles and bookmarking to the money site. I've also been employing non-Senuke bookmarks, and wikis to the money site in an attempt to widen the footprint. I've been careful to use extreme high-quality spins for all articles, and spin every possible field.

So what is the opinion here? Do I just need to increase link velocity perhaps? Or is there something else I can be aiming at the money site that might give me better bang? Hmmm....

The rule is simple.. when you hit a wall, make some serious changes.
Add some articles on high PR directories, unique ones. Add some high PR blogposts from private networks, add some quality web 2.0's, and yola, you should see some better results

Yeah that does sound good. Problem is I don't have much cash in my budget to spend on expensive stuff like private blog networks at the moment. I could justify a small software purchase maybe, but cash it tight at the moment unfortunately, as is often the case with us seo guys. I think I need to get another client to help pay for more software and networks.

Not all networks are really costly mate.. There's a guy called SEO Lover , who has a 40 unique content blogposts selling for about $80. Very high PR and natural posts.

You could buy one pr2 domain and add it to ALN or linkauthority for a few blog links too. You just need to write the articles in the case of linkauthority.com or outsource them.

Def not gonna sit here and defend the statement i'm about to make - you're going to have to just assume i'm saying the truth

My website is on the mid of page 1 - top page 2 for SEO Company (depend if the geo-targetted search results appear since they push me down)

If you want to crack high competition keywords, there's two main strategies.

The first is what I call the long grind.

This is doing SEO, over an extended period of time, i'm talking 5-7 months easy. Doing a little bit each day, keep your daily link velocity to a minimum, and ensuring high quality links. You begin this strategy by initially backlinking not for an anchor text, but instead by linking with only your website URL (think natural viral tactics, when something goes viral initially, people don't put anchor text, they just write down the web address)
Initially backlink for web address first 3-4 months, after that start rotating your high competition anchor text. You can rotate it in from day 1 if you really want, but keep it about 20% in terms of rotation.

Second strategy = rapid fire.
You do your normal SEO rotation, but you want results immediately. Do your cookie cutter SEO, use your senuke, AMR, xrumer, scrapebox(Fast poster+trackbacks), and of course do your directory submissions.

At this point what you will need next, is high pr article posts. I'm talking shoot for 500+ high pr blog posts. At this point you'll start to approach page 2/bottom of page 1 or so. (obviously tweak my numbers to fit your niche)

This strategy isn't an absolute god-mode strategy, but follow it as guidelines. For certain niches, 500 high pr won't cut it, you'll need 1000, etc.

If option1 above is a no-go you can always make a new site with less competition...everyone hits a wall sometime

Interesting. Since it's a client I don't have the time luxury to take an extra 3 or 4 months now... so it looks like I'm going to have to start banging out more of the higher PR blog posts.

What software would you reccomend for this btw? Does just plain old AMR do the trick assuming I get a good list of high-pr blogs to post to?

I don't think he meant phases.... I think those are two separate strategies. Time vs sheer force.

Try getting some authority links, for example...
Write some articles for high pr article directories like ezines, article banks and blah blah blah.
Then try some blog commenting on some .edu's and .govs
Or guest posting on high pr blogs

Then when you get a couple of these down blast the crap out of them with senuke and amr.. (yes ill blast a page that I have a blog comment on if its an .gov or edu -- to me a link is a link no matter where on the page)
