Guys i am very close to lounching my 1st ecommerce site, the domain is on, put lots of quality content/seo work - and i see traffic)

Time to put ecommerce on.
I decided to go with drupal/ubercart. Many of you will say magento, but after some research i chose ubercart.

Need your advice on front page design/style.

For know i can separate 2 groups:

brands-looking very stylish,

IMers - who got most of their traffic from google, and the main aim of design is CONVERSATIONS. They have catalog on front page, they have BEST SELLERS thing, they have ratings, reviews

Guys am i read this right? 1st group is looking more beautiful to me, but seems 2nd one will convert SE traffic better...

thoughts?

Pretty much.
First group doesn't need to sell. People are going there looking for something specific, or atleast the specific brand.

The others are more so a large variety, and want to catch your eye with what they have.
 
second group for the reasons already mentioned.
 
Thx guys. Was hesitating a bit. Now my soil is in peace. When you doing smng you want to do it best 100%, and trying to find the solution you will be TOTALLY happy about can take a lot of time)))
 
2nd one is better but just want to know that why you are not using Magento?
 
Go for the second. Chances are your visitors will be looking for something specific rather than browse around. Having the products on the homepage allows them to quickly view the items they want to purchase. If your now known or branded, your visitors won't want to waste time landing on the home page and then finding the products on another page. Hit them with what they want first. :)
 
Wait... are you saying these are good from an SEO perspective, or BEAUTIFUL sites? Cause IMHO these are all pretty boring.
