Idea to Monetize Lyft / Uber Promotions

Hi everybody,

I just wanted to share an idea I had regarding the ridesharing companies. They actually just recently changed their policy on a sign-up bonus, which I think opens up some room for making some quick profits.

The old policies incentivized individuals for referring drivers of the opposite faction to switch. ex. Uber will pay Lyft drivers $250-1000 just to try Uber. Now they have opened up the bonuses to anyone (no longer recruiting from each other.)

In my city, the bonus is $750.00 if you sign up and do 100 rides in a month. From my research, this is pretty daunting, but well received since they'd make $1500+ driving on top of that bonus.

Anyways-- the idea here is just finding a way to target local individuals with 4 door cars, and mass-mailing them the offer, with a sign-up link. This might not be a viable method, but I'm just keeping the wheels turning and trying to contribute some ideas Feel free to comment / collaborate with me. I've made a killing with these referrals in the past.

Why not just amplify your efforts?

I'm doing this and it is great for networking.

I printed the referral offers out onto a 1/2 letter size card so they can take it with them and give it to "anybody who wants to make $1000 a day with uber, just by referring 2 people a day"... I explain that out of 25 or 30 people each day, somebody will be interested in driving for uber.

Am I doing it right??

We are looking for those aces in the deck of cards, thats what I tell each person who gets in my car who wants to make $1000 a day just by referring uber to 2 people per day.
