(I couldn't find a better place for this, so please move it if you see fit) Hello Hatters. Due to an increase in spare/free time I have chosen to jump into IM for the first time. I've been reading about hundreds of methods and systems and chosen a few to play with. This is mostly to get myself some experience, as I hardly doubt I will earn more than a damn dollar on my first projects. Just to mention the three I'm spending my time on now: 1. Affiliate Webcams/Dating 2. Site Flipping 3. Blogging. As you might already have guessed, the one in question is number three. Blogging. See, I gave it a bit of thought when trying to come up with an idea that MIGHT pay off in the end. The best - and most unique - idea I came up with was a review blog about clubs/cafés/PartyPlaces in general. I'm sure a lot of you have already thought about this, if not already done it I'm not looking for ways to monetize this idea just yet, as - as I said - I'm fairly new and just want this to add to my limited experience. Doing this "niche" - aiming at let's say the US would be retarded, as I'm sure it's Pretty obvious that I'm not native American, and because of the lack of experience. Instead I was thinking about doing this in my own language, and focusing on domestic places. I'm living in a small country with a population of only about 5-6 million, which would make my target audience significantly narrowed down - but still make it a lot easier for me. Now, It's no secret that there's still a lot of work to be done, and content would be the hardest part to obtain as I would need to hit the town many days a week in order for it to grow with a consistent speed. This is where I think I got an idea that might just work out. My plan is to create a giant list of Bar/Club/etc owners' email addresses and offer them the opportunity to review Their Own business. There's thousands and thousands of these, and if only 10% agree to this I would consider myself doing good at this point. I have done a bit of research, and only a Very limited amount of sites offer this particular "niche" in my country, and most of them have no user-supplied reviews, rankings, comments or anything. Implementing this with social features such as Twitter and Facebook, and of course fanpages/group for both "Could" "Maybe" help me achieve this. I'm sorry if this is an extremely shitty post without Any value to you guys what-so-ever, but I would really like some of you experienced guys' opinions on this. If any one of you have tried something similar, or if you think it's stupid - Or if you just want to express your view on this, Please do so. I really appreciate it. Lincoln Out.
