Idea/Question: Getting the domain you want.

So, this is a little too Black for my liking, if it's even worth bringing up. I've kicked the idea around in my head for awhile, but I'm not sure if it would pay off. I figure you folks would know better.

Adsense + Blogs * Traffic = Cash.
Adsense + Blogs * Purchased Traffic = Big G Says No, your account gets the banhammer.

Suppose there's a niche you want to target. Maybe you already have the content, maybe it's profitable, maybe you're just bitchy like me, but suppose there's a niche you like and someone's in your spot.

Could you invest in really, really cheap inorganic Asian traffic, Zerg rush the rival domain and get their account banned when their traffic spikes?

If so, couldn't you get the rival to jump ship and, when they let their domain expire, snap it up? Their backlinks, if any, should stay live.


I'm not much a fan of Google and Adsense, so I won't be touching this with a custom-made eleven foot pole. But what do you guys think?

I doubt it. If it was that simple, then whoever wanted to be in 1st, would always be in 1st, no matter who their comp. is.

Rule of thumb I've learned from around here, working towards bettering your site is always greater than trying to bring down someone elses.

Plus it's not a hundred percent agreed upon that the purchased traffic will necessarily get you banned.
