Idea for suprapopulation

Sooner or later suprapopulation will be a real problem.But have annyone tought that living on levels,like building buildings and streets one above another could be possible?Eating artificial food and so on?
Anyway,that's more like a future matter.In our lives,I don't think we'll face any of this problems.
It's more like a SF talk :)

Suprapopulation of parasites

How about natural resources like oil and other fossil fuels? Even water is a huge issue. Where will the food be grown?

As countries like China and India become more developed I hope people will be more conscious of this issue...
 
It would cost at a minimum $350 billion to build and maybe up to $1 trillion, I do not think X seed 4000 would ever be built,even with deposits and investors it would be hard to raise $350 billion and nearly impossible to raise $1 trillion.

I also recall reading somewhere that such a "megacity" would require building material that doesn't exist today, based on carbon nanotubes. Oh well, technology is rapidly changing. A couple decades ago we didn't even have the Internet :p
 
Yeah actually the X-seed 4000 is not meant to be built for real. But the project itself have raised lots of interesting ideas and concepts, especially in the field of self-sufficiency (autarky) of the "megacity" in terms of energy and natural ressources such as food.

I've searched quite a bit about this a few years ago and it gave me lots of interesting reads about these topics.

Actually the internet has been around since the 1960's and was worked on somewhat in the late 1950's.

But even with carbon nanotubes it won't be built unless whoever is building it,can get the investors,loans and deposits to build it.
 
If you put all the people on the world into a megacity with a population density of like, new york or something...The entire world would live in an area no bigger than Texas (smaller even, I believe).

There is PLENTY of room on earth. Most of the earth is still wilderness and uninhabited.

Use a wise source of energy, terraform the land where arid by building huge freshwater/filtered reservoir lakes, greenhouses for producing food, using modern architectural materials.

An argument as to why this hasn't been done yet is because...The people who are living right now aren't seen as deserving of this technology. Frankly, I can't exactly disagree...When you see protests and riots and "revolutions" with people acting like animals just letting off steam and not making the lives of their neighbors actually any better...It's a lot of foolishness in the good intentions of these people who are yelling for better rights. Great hearts; silly minds.

The earth does not have an overpopulation problem, us humans are having a resource management problem.
 
isn't much cheaper one atomic bomb ? why to bother to keep investing into new tech/construction material and other SF-like scenarios when we have already '' perfect '' solution for this matter ?:)

Propagating the globalists agenda for them, by yourself believing in the farse that population will be out of control soon is akin to chicken little going around squawking that the sky is falling. :dunce:
 
Anyone that says about overpopulation never been to Canada, Russia etc.

If China is ~15% of population and only 2% of land (where they have deserts mountains etc) and they could sustain themselves with poor agricultural technology for so many years being closed to the world - it means we can fit at least 7 times the population we have now.
As the world population growth will slowdown or even stop in 50-100 years this wont be a problem at all.
People were scared about overpopulation since 19th century - its something to ignore.
Its just another apocalyptic thing for papers to write about.
No need for mega buildings or mega cities - there will be always enough room for everyone - period.

Actually the Nazis party didn't wanted/needed to get rid about their population nor they ever thinking about there will be some kind of problem with '' overpopulation myth '' , the fkers just needed some extra cash and of course other goodies :) since no one ever with more than 2 cell brains alive will not simply give their valuable assets without asking any question , they simply started to kill the bastards to take their stuff's :) ... it's not the first time when humanity faced an war and with sure it's not an '' nazi '' invention !. Peoples fight each others since centuries ( for various reasons ofc - but main reason always was the natural resources and other assets ) . This things with '' overpopulation '' / or the '' elite/elitist conspiracies '' or '' divine will '' and loads other craps are usually easy exploited by modern society just to give us '' something to read while sit at bathroom '' ( well something else except the marketing / advertising stickers from toilette paper and other cosmetics what we have over there ) :)

Things are easy to understand actually since Copernicus did he's work for humanity giving he's great contribution to the '' knowledge '' , humans started to understand more and more about this great planet where we live , since we have approximative 58 square miles of land with less than 30% of earth surface occupied by land :) there is and will be always plenty of space for everyone ...

Food crisis solutions when it gets near

Artificial meat,people consume more vegetables,more land converted for farming with more efficient farming techniques.

Water crisis solutions when it gets near.

Desalination,reusing waste water

Energy Crisis

More efficent devices and lighting as well as increased efficenly in power sources such as solar panels. World switching to LED's would eliminate the need for 640 current medium sized power plants according to Philips. Nettops and tablets will take a huge chunk out of how much power is needed as well.

Oil crisis

More efficient gasoline powered vehicles,mass transit and electric powered vehicles. Currently for the average consumer electric vehicles suck. But by 2025 the following will be available in cars.

Well unfortunately that's what will happen eventually.

About surpopulation, it involves just me but i strongly believe, that we have a kind of self preservation instinct. Once we will get surpopulated we will find a drastic way to reduce ourselves our population. And i've faith in the virus role for that too ;).

I've read too, that homosexuals are a kind of way to regulate the population too.
