I'd like to offer something to BHW, need ideas.

I've learned alot here in a few short months. Downloaded an assload of stuff too. In reciprocity, I'd like to give something back. Searching the forums for "audio" I've noticed quite a few people are musicians, rappers, producers, run indie labels, etc. This is where I think I might be able to help out.

I'm an audio engineer, did it professionally for about ten years in NYC and recently in a more scaled-down part-time sort of way. Probably not the sort of thing that directly applies to BH stuff the way coding or web design does, but what the hell, there's gotta be something I know that's useful.

So what can I provide? My first thought was maybe a few original articles on recording, setting up a studio, perhaps home theater? (I'm an A/V installation tech as well.) Tips on mixing? What is that annoying vocal effect T. Pain always uses?*

Ideas please.


* It's called "Auto Tune." You can get the plugin for Pro Tools, Logic... any audio software, really.

Right... maybe I didn't explain myself clearly enough.

What would an audio engineer know that you don't that could be used in your internet marketing if it were provided free of charge?

How about a way to alter my voice on voice mail messages? I use numbers in my ads for my various cl methods and I basically say in my voice mail greeting, "If you're calling about the blah, blah, blah, send me an e-mail because I'm getting too many voice mails."

Unfortunately, I've been busted out a few times because someone recognized my voice on two or more different methods. I've tried some of the voice changing software out there, but it doesn't work very well and doesn't sound realistic enough to be believable.

I have a CL method I use to push acai crap and I'd like to come up with a free MP3 download for "customers" to pre-sell them and give some "value" to the "service" I'm "offering."

I'd like it to sound somewhat professionally done to be believeable.

How about working on programatically cracking audio captchas?

Or some info on how sounds relates to words relates to brain waves/perception relates to selling?
