IBP - is it worth buying?

I've been looking at IBP 11.9 Business Edition. It does provide a nice report for clients but does it warrant the price?

On discounted rate it would cost $379.95 and plus another 12 months of Search Technology Update subscription (another $119.95)

It would cost almost $500 to use this app per year.

Is there a cheaper and better or similar alternative to this?

does it still work? The search technology update wouldn't work without a valid code right?

I use IBP constantly. It's an awesome software which can be an investment...Just depends on how much you intend on using it....

Get a cracked version mate.. it is a good software no doubt, but the cost is not proportional to the utility.

It works fine for my purposes, You cannot update it or anything but for what i need it for its fine. If you really need it full and complete with search technology and you have the money in your budget, it is definitely worth it

I use it pretty often and yes I did buy the standard version. I am cool with spreading the wealth and it for some reason...call it karma...seems to come back a bit more often that way.

It keeps me focused on my competition which is awesome. I have to note that their system of quantitative analysis does seem to break down in high PR niches, like above a 5 you can be hitting their recommended 95%+ score and still be like 5 pages back. It is great for PR2-3 and starts to loose relevance the closer it gets to pr4.
