Hey guys,
I just wanted to share my experience about my newly purchased budget laptop here.
I was confused to choose between the many models and finally I purchased the iball Compbook M500
Things I like about the iball Compbook M500 budget laptop:
1) Display - It has got a 14 inch FHD display (1920x1080) IPS screen. The display quality is top notch in this segment. No doubt about that. Many laptops in this budget have only HD displays (1280x720)
2) It has Celeron Dual Core Processor which is far better than the Intel Atom | 4 Gigabytes of DDR3 RAM - which is decent in this budget. Most of the competitors have only 2GB
3) Eventhough, it has a lower clock speed, the speed is good and the clock speed can increase upto 2.4 GHz (as per the specs in most of the forums) in the turbo mode
4) It has a very large trackpad which supports multiple gestures.
5) It has 5000 maH battery which is pretty decent and lasts up to 6 hours.
6) Though it has only 32GB of internal storage, there has been a provision to install a hard disk / SSD. Some screws are provided in the box to do that ourselves. So, keep those screws safe. There has been also a Micro SD card slot which supports upto 1 TB
7) There is a Ethernet LAN Port, 1x USB 3.0, 2x USB 2.0, Combined headphone/microphone jack, 1 Micro HDMI Port
8) The chick-let keyboard is very easy to use and it feels premium. It has integrated Intel Graphics inside it, which is good.
9) It comes with the pre-installed 64-bit Windows 10 Home Single Language Operating System which supports wireless displays, etc.,
10) The overall weight is just 1.3 kgs and it feels very very premium in the hand. There is only one color option and that's the navy blue
