    Hi all,

    This is my first post.

Just over a year ago, I wrote a book, not really a book but a 20 page word document which I print and mail. I setup a website selling this book, and made an adwords account. I was selling the book for £100.

I sold 2 in the first month, a 6 in my busiest month. Only marking was a post on the odd forum, organic search results and adwords.

In the year I sold 60 which was a nice £6K

However, sales have dried up now. I think competition increased and maybe I am further down the adwords list as I have low bids. I have sold 1 copy in two months.

Anyway, I came across BHW and was thinking maybe turn it into an ebook and sell through Click Bank - what would you guys reccommend?

I have stayed away from electronic versions in the past to stop people ripping me off and re-selling but it my be time to bite the bullet.

I will say at this point that of all the people who have paid £100 for the book, I have never had a single complaint - no-one has complained of being ripped and I have had many people send me very grateful emails. So it is a good piece of information.

Let me know what you experts think, how can I maximise it's potential?

I also have 3 more similar books in my head, in other niches, I just haven't got around to writing them yet. Once is linked / related and I can certainly market it to all the people who have enquired / purchased over the last year and a bit. I don't know how many people there are, just need to rip their addresses out of the relevant gmail account :)

I look forward to hearing from you,

    seabro

Hey man, hows it. For what its worth here is my 2 cents worth: First, look around yourself - this forum - the downloads area says it ALL. If its a digital product chances are you can come across it here - for FREE. That in mind, most (if not all) digital products are worth hardly anything. Due to their DUPLICATABILITY (if thats even a word - but you know what I mean) E Books sell for, like, 7 bucks. If you want your book to retain value, without turning into a full on internet marketer (unless you are prepared to do that) in order to make a lot of money from it, then, my 2 cents worth says MAKE IT ONLY A HARD COPY. Either that or create a learning course out of it, with a fully blown website, and THEN trow some PPC at that - Just make sure all your material is website based, use a membership script, like membershipease or DDL and see how you go.

    Hope this helps

Regards and Respect - for coming to this forum and having the balls to ask

Hey thanks keith6andco, further input welcomed.

Maybe I should just concentrate on marketing the hard copy a bit better. To include some discounted versions.

I only ever set the price high so I could discount it heavily on offer, I would be happy to sell at a fraction of what it actually sells for. After all, it took me a few hours to make and about £1 each to fulfill.

If you can get a really amazing landing page build with a sales page from a native english speaker, I would Clickbank it and get some video/written testimonials from former customers. Then in addition promote it yourself.

Yeah, either clickbank, or make a hardcopy and then go to those "money seminars" promoting your book. The best market for these sorts of money books lies offline because those sorts of people are usually unaware of the situation online, in other words; Newbies.
