I got 135 usd sent as gift and i spent the the funds on a ebay item 3 hours later the sender charged back and made my balance goto -121 usd . So i called paypal and they said the sender reported unauthorized payment so they were investigating his account for fraudulent activity 30 mins later I get an email saying
" We have completed our investigation of the transaction below and were
unable to find evidence of unauthorized access to the buyer?s account. This
case was denied to the buyer and no funds were recovered from your account."


And made my account limited with a positive balance.

Congratulations, however you may want to be aware that if he paid using a credit card he can still call them.

PayPal basically didn't find anything strange with cookies/ip/etc. So you're safe if he used his balance from PayPal. If he paid with his card? He can do a chargeback through them.
 
Yeah what SirSmash said and why did you open another thread OP? You're not out of the woods yet. If your friend funded with CC then he can call them and do a chargeback. You won't win that one and PP will charge you $10 on top of it to add salt to injury.
 
He used the balance on his account. Also his account is shared with multiple people so..
 
Nicely done, OP. Their phone support sucks most of the time but with enough persuasion you can accomplish anything.
 
"And made my account limited with a positive balance. " - How is this a win? If I'm correct, you cannot withdraw the funds for 180 days with a limited account.
 
Well that's good. I've got about $40k tied up in PayPal accounts, but I also won a $62 unauthorized dispute recently. ;)
 
Congrats man... you just posted your worthless 20th post. Come on argue with me and make it 21.
