i caught 2 gars sunday ;-p and then i caught a 9 lb catfish last saturday too.

never been able to fish the ocean tho YET

My father always wanted me to go deep sea fishing.

I may try one day.
 
Took my nine year old last weekend. He caught his first small mouth bass. I had the unfortunate pleasure of landing a pickerel. Ugly ass fish!

@ yuppy, the fish is a pearl perch, nice eating, a sweet white fleshed reef fish. The red fish are Snapper.

@ dvdcowboy, thanks for that, the date was never set originally on the camera, fixed now tho.

@ tatsu, the water is always blue here, it's Australia, Fishing gear was Penn rods and reels.

@ urgorrogu, About $2000.00 for a full day with Skipper, bait and gear provided, as well as a deckhand to assist with the newbies. We got fuel on the way home, it cost $600.00 to fill the tanks.(the charter operators paid).
 
Very cool - maybe I'm crazy, but I'd love to fish the Bering Sea once.
