I Was Destroyed By Google Panda

Anyone have any tips for how to deal with this Google Panda update? I lost 35% of my total traffic.

I run a small network of 40 exact keyword match domain driven websites. Mostly recipe sites with tons of unique and well written content. The sites are monetized with AdSense.

I've been promoting my sites with reciprocal link exchanges and Twitter. Doesn't seem to be working though anymore.

When the update happened, a site that I have been putting a lot of work into jumped from page 4 to page 13 for a very tough keyword, since then I have been building links with article submissions, high pr profile links, edu and gov profiles and other good quality links. Now I'm on page 2.

I'm no expert but I think you just need to concentrate on high quality links to get your rankings back. Go to the services section and check what services are popular. Also maybe you should take a look at extrawinners thread, he helped me with my seo plan and it has been working

I'm on the other end. My one and only adsense site is earning $7 a day on the average lately. I don't do backlinking, but every after post published, I make sure I send it to ping.fm and other bookmarking tools. All manually done. I'm writing my own content and posting 4-5 articles a day. The site used to earn just a few cents a day. My site is not a micro niche site, so I can pretty much write from breaking news to good old articles.

Darn, it happened to me too just yesterday. 4 of my bigger websites got deranked, losing $200+ per day. Since the layout and SEO on them is different, it probably has to be some other connection. They're all unique content and quality sites, yet they've been deranked...

I used to play fast and loose with my SEO and in turn I made huge dollars. I burned my websites along the way through manual Google bans but the huge money was well worth it.

Then 3 years ago I decided that I was going to play clean with top notch quality content only. I get a minimal amount of reciprocal related links, but mostly try to keep my traffic content driven. My goal was to build a real long term content network the white hat way, and sadly I've gotten my arse handed to me on a silver platter. Traffic gains over the last couple years have been minimal and it has felt like trench warfare along the way.

I can't tell if I just lost my edge, or if the game is just way harder. I can't seem to please the Google Gods no matter what direction I take my sites these days. Sucks.

I've read in some webmaster forums that the panda 2 update take in consideration the adsense ads placement and number. There are stories that people who minimized the ad number on their pages, or people who removed the ads completely saw a improve.

The big G plays really mad this time..

I read that too that AdSense is a factor, but the couple of sites that I have without AdSense have lost the exact same volume of traffic. It's been a nice even -35% traffic loss across the board. I can tell that this Panda 2 riddle will be a tough one to crack.

Did you try to get some social bookmark going?
Which types of sites you have,thin sites or authority sites?

That's the reason why I'm now switching to site flipping. No long term contract with Google
