Not necessarily. Not on blackhatworld as per say, but for the past 4 years I've been actively helping people on IM related Facebook groups for free and expecting nothing back. Sometimes there's a total noob who asks a genuine question and I spend 15 minutes writing them a detailed guide..

I've even done free Google hangouts and screenshares with people in IM groups helping them out, which may sound absurd but I like to do things to others that I want to be done to me if I was in the same situation..

Well I selectively choose who I help.. I never help people that I feel are leechers, who just selfishly want my help..

And I also don't fuck with most of those charity organizations, for example the ones that pay celebrities to emotionally manipulate their delusional fans into donating to causes which is pretty much their job, as they may not genuinely give a shit. So I feel you on that..

Some countries have a bad mentality, where money is taboo and where it's impossible to talk about money without being hated (like in my country, France). Here on BHW, we find the "American" mentality, which believes in success, believes that it is possible and we share a maximum to help other people who will someday help other people etc..

I participated this forum because i know there a lot of good people here, that willing to help to anybody especially like me who completely noob in this kind of business. In a couple of weeks that I've been sign here I learned a lot of things to you guys who masters and elite of internet marketing, So I'm very thankful!!!!!!.

Well this community is a helping hand for those who want to learn something and earn with the given tricks.
People who know about any matter( about topic) they try to explore them through advice so other got to know what's going around in online marketing or online job.
So it's not a waste of time but it's a worth of time.

The problem with this board is that it's gotten so "mainstream" that a lot of low-quality posters have joined. We see too many threads of people asking for help, going on about their homelessness. I see thread titles like "how to make $50 a day?" or "please help im homeless" every day now
