I was actually thinking why people post on BHW?

This comes from a person who almost 50% of their post count is made of new threads created like this one.

Most people post to give help / advice, others post asking for help/advice.
Why they are giving advice or help for free.Nobody wanna waste their time just for helping others, in return, they want something?

We do as it goes, it's a community. If your struggling with that then maybe you're in the wrong place.
This post has just cost you $1,000,000

I do it for fun to help others.

I like to learn then return what i have learnt ...

I want nothink for it except kindness , a thumbs up or a thank you .

Life not about always taking giving open the hart and fills good.

Also gives the mods a rest , let them no there good ppl willing to help so they dont have to do so much work .....

Now I completely understood, it's all about sending or receiving the advice
cool!

As someone who is part of most of the other marketing forums I can vouch that the discussions here are a lot more meaningful in terms of user contributions and moderation.
In short, don't waste your time with the other forums.

I've had plenty people PM me for advice and I have done so for free, when I get time/chance to reply to them.
I've even had people PM me 10, 15 and 20 times asking for more and more, to the point where I have replied to them;
Where do I send the invoice for my time, my BHW rates are £100 an hour or £500 for the day for consultation.....

That been the case I have personally messaged 4 people on here this year asking for advice / pointers on something and never had a reply, which does kind of piss me off at times as it makes me ask myself, why should I bother also?

  • I've gotten a lot from this forum as a lurker for years. Now, I'm giving back.
  • I'm establishing my reputation.
  • I plan to sell something in the marketplace at some point. Still not sure what it will be, but yes, I plan to make money.
  • I genuinely enjoy helping others (yes, I do it for free on here). This is one of the only forums that I participate on, especially in the amount that I do.
This isn't just wasting time. There are real people on this forum with real problems. Answering a person's question on here can possibly change their life. Yeah, there is a lot of BS on here, but there's also a lot of good information. People will use that information to build a business, pay their mortgage, feed their children, help others and yes, some people will squander their earnings.

I do it to feel good about my self, after selling shitty products to 1000's i have to do something good to atleast satisfy my inner self.
Its the same why do you help someone? people say they are doing because the other person needs your help but in reality all you are trying to do is satisfying your inner self that you are a good person. Some people like to brag about helping other some don't.

Or it's just some of us who have been doing it professionally for years know what it's like to start out, so we help

Don't be ridiculous. Everyone who helps anyone do anything does it for purely selfish reasons.

Especially non-profit organizations. Those guys are the most selfish people on the planet.
