Buy things that don't cost much, like iphone cases, and sell them for cheap on ebay to get alot of positive feedback. I'm not talking from experience, just common sense.
Basstrackerboats a well respected member here has a thread on how he made X amount on ebay just before christmas, if i remember right he said he used GSA to create backlinks for his listing. Although he does state that he wasn't sure if it had any influence on ranking.
EDIT: went and found the thread im talking about, it could help you:
Top rated seller. Views helps, watchers helps more. Also post one day auctions and they will naturally put you higher up since you are ending soon. If your performance is substandard they will blast you down, and dont even waste listing until you get seller performance at least standard. Also if you can get a few people to 'buy" your item and the item isnt highly contested, they will list you higher because your item shows 'popularity'. Friends, multiple accounts across IP's, fiverr etc. Get creative and think what would ebay want..
Hope that helps.
ps- I sell over $100k a year on ebay, and have done well over $2m in total. IMO you're better off selling direct versus ebay. Don't forget amazon, walmart and sears are options too
