I want to manipulate the crawl budget

Hello, I want Googlebot to visit my site more frequently. Although my site's SEO is fully optimized and professional, the crawl budget remains very low, and Googlebot doesn't crawl my pages often.
I'm looking for ways to manipulate or influence the crawl budget to keep Googlebot engaged and continuously crawling my site.
I understand this approach carries risks, including potential penalties or being flagged as spam.
How can I effectively and aggressively encourage Googlebot to crawl my site more frequently ?

Crawl budget mainly comes from popularity (which is mainly measured by link equity), freshness, and overall health of the site - so good quality speedy hosting and not serving up error pages (404/500 etc). https://developers.google.com/search/blog/2017/01/what-crawl-budget-means-for-googlebot
So the areas to cover to increase your crawl budget are link building - mainly to the homepage, but making sure the rest of your internal site structure means each other page on the site is ideally 3 clicks or fewer from the homepage. Freshness can be covered by frequent posting, but only if it's relevant and not just adding fluff content.

Isn't there a way I can manipulate it? My competitors do.
 
2. **Genuine User Engagement:** Get actual people interacting with your site often. When real visitors spend time and explore, it's a powerful signal. Focus on driving organic, human activity.
 
google will gradually crawl more when you publish more posts. if you are publishing 2 articles per day, make it to 5. don't skip and keep google bot coming. In few months you'll see that googlebot will visit and crawl 2-3 times a day. Guess how news articles from news/media sites are indexed in under a hour?

I used same strategy for my news site. We first published only 2-3 news a day and googlebot crawl rate was low, then moving to 10 news made the crawl rate increase. its gradually though.
