This is a good idea, look into Requests, Selenium and BeautifulSoup4. Those are the best libraries to learn for python bots.

Domain dropcatcher bot. You can sell them for good price if you add all features to check if it's a good domain and send users an email.

Yes Python Selenium scraping of major websites like expireddomains, godaddy and sedo with proxies should do.

It would probably be cool to have a bot for a social network user that would inform the user about a discount on a product that he could add to his favorites.
