I want to learn everything about proxies!

So I've been an internet "nerd" since forever, yet I've never really dabbled into what proxies are and how they work exactly.

Recently, I've been dabbling with local seo and am in need of local proxies based on locality/state. I don't want to just hire someone, I want to learn the best way and understand why it's the best method for proxies.

Any recent guides that people recommend? Everyone bookmarked here seems outdated which is unfortunate.

Plenty of guides, even if they seem outdated, they still work.

Probably you won't find much about residential proxies tho because of their nature - they come from hacked computers and its a forbidden topic in this forum. Another way to gain access to resi proxies is to pay users for hosting your software that will make a backconnect connection back to your server.
