Can I buy a domain and hosting from two different domain hosting providers? If so, how can I connect the domain and hosting? and how much it costs to create a website.
I want to create a website for me.

Yes you can purchase domain and hosting from different companies. And it's always a good idea not to purchase everything from one company, especially the domain. Because if things go south with your hosting company and they shut down your account without notice, then you'll at least have a full control over your domain to route the DNS settings to other hosting company.
Most of the hosting companies have a full documentation guide on how to set the domain DNS settings to their hosting company. Also you can find many step by step videos on youtube on this topic. It takes just 1 min to set up everything.
Depends on what type of website you're looking forward to create. You can go with WordPress for any type of website (renowned hosting services provide 1-click wp install solution as well).

with a domain, coudl be as cheap as $1 or less depending on the TLD
Your own hosting + doman can be as cheap as $1-2 depending on the TLD & hosting provider.

Its quite simple buddy. Buy these 2 thing from 2 different place. When you login to hosting control panel, you can see DNS Server name. There will be 2 .. note that. Now login to domain control panel->go to DNS Setting-> Custom Server and enter those 2 DNS server name. Wait for an hour and its connected

Recommend cPanel shared hosting it's easy to learn, then use the one button softalicous web installer does all the work setting up database in a "lamp" stack for wordpress. As stated above you can create your own custom nameservers dns1.mydomain . com and dns2.mydomain . com assigned to the IP address you are given on your hosting which is called the A record. This takes little effort if you use namesilo or namebright. Some hosts require you use their own nameservers, so if you don't want that ask the question before getting the hosting.
