I need some tips for hiring a freelancer to clone a website that I like (in a specific niche) and use it for my business with some customization, it's like a marketplace where sellers can post their products.

If you need only html/css/js files you can use https://www.httrack.com/.
if you need a dashboard, backend functions you need a freelancer.

you need to make sure that they have experience, ask for examples of their work and make sure they are theirs, be clear about your expectations and provide clear instructions.
