So this isn't the first time I've seen them post an affiliate link. A bit of googling and I came across a blog stating it wasn't against their TOS so I'm pretty confused. Why is Amazon so strict with websites with affiliate disclosure etc. and people getting banned for sharing on Reddit but then Twitter and Facebook are fair game if you apply as a social media page? Weird. No affiliate disclosure here or in their about section.

It may be due to the size of the traffic they send to Amazon?

Once you get to be a major league player with your own affiliate manager etc, you get a lot more leeway.

That makes sense, when you have 25,000,000 fans Amazon treats you differently. With 8m views, I do wonder what their conversion rate was. Bet they do alright out of it...

Amazon bend the rules to those that
Bring huge traffic in .

Also if the sales are good they love it.

But you are right as a newbie you can not get away with such tactics

You must go by there guidelines ,if they alter or want to drop or rewtite other guidelines for indevigal cases that there business structure But you got to follow what tos you got or published untill the time your contacted with diffrent rule.
