Well guys, as a late Christmas Present, I think you should see this
:drum: That's pretty funny. LOL
It's also a very good guide for how to make a sales page. The reason it's so funny is it actually points out the true purpose of every element in a sales page.
That's why it surprises me when marketers fall for those sales tactics. When a regular guy comes across a sales page, all those marketing tricks can help motivate him to make a purchase. But you'd think that the people who actually use those techniques themselves would be somewhat immune to them.
:cool2: As much as that page is meant as a joke and as funny as it is to read, it's also a basic template other marketers can use to actually make some effective sales pages.
:smokin: Thanks for the present Hamstamasta.
Haha, Thats a funny one and also a good lesson. Well done.
link is not working for me...
LOL. You need to learn to copy and paste. :Eyecrazy:
:cool2: copy the name from the code box. paste it in your address bar after the http://
Dou you think that someone will catch up with this ?
I didn't make it, but it's a real good example of the utter Bullshit marketers come out with all the time
The sad thing is, it works
eh ehmm.. the URL when copied and pasted is not working for me... better?
Hahaha extremely funny link.
I can't believe there are actually plenty of people who flock to buy things from such websites.
That's brilliant! I just bought 10 copies. That sound make me 10 times richer I imagine?
Thanks for the laugh. Happy new year GreyWolf
Well its obviously not the website and you can verify this by going to
and see the "truth"
Ok, first off, that site is phucking hilarious!
Second, I love the 'testimonial' that reads:
But as it's been mentioned, these types of websites 'sell' whatever it is the merchant is promoting and yet...we wonder why "affiliate marketing" has such a bad rep that we often wonder if being in Amway/Herbalife would be better?
Ahh. Then this is a good tool for you to be aware of.
The buymystupidebook url is definitely working.
I just noticed that Hamstamasta beat me to it on giving that same advice.
Crikey! The jig is up! What if everyone downloadifies his stupid ebook? Then I can't sell my ebooks no mo!
Well it isn't really something that give affiliate marketing a bad name. There's really not even anything wrong with salespages like that. It's just funny because it points out why those tactics work.
You can take any marketing strategy, and point out the true purpose and really make it funny. Some salespages are better than others, but any kind of sales involves using some type of marketing tactics.
There's a reason that they have all the little knickknacks, magazines, candy, etc. in little racks along the checkout line in the grocery store. All those little 79 cent mini howto booklets you see at eyelevel next to the cash register? They're placed there for a reason. Brightly colored packaging? They do research to determine which colors will subconsciously make people want to buy. There are people who's entire job function is to determine the best product placement.
There's no reason to be ashamed of knowing how to be a marketer. It's a billion dollar industry. Affiliate marketing isn't any less honorable than choosing to be an independent insurance agent, car salesman, or any other type of sales position.
Just because you someone takes a marketing tactic and lays it out in a humorous way to show how it really works, doesn't mean there's anything wrong with using those tactics. In fact if your a marketer what it should do is help you learn how to use those tactics even better. If your a consumer it should help you learn to be less susceptible to it.
I mentioned in another thread that...
You just need to decide if you want do be the wolf or the sheep. These type of marketing tactics are targeted at the sheep. The wolves are the ones learning how to use them.
You should try to be ethical in what you choose to market, but don't be ashamed of being a marketer. The world would be a much less interesting place without the marketers.
Wow, I am so buying this book. I too would like to have infinity dollars!
Haha that was classic. I honestly hope that guy is making some money because we should all have to pay for a laugh like that.
Yeah he isn't really doing it for money though, he just wants to make a point and give everyone a laugh at the same time.
I guess he does have adsense on it, but for the type of traffic this site must get I can't imagine the contextual ads would get much ctr. Like I said I think he's probably just using the site to make a point.
So...how long till we see this in the downloads section?
