I think my pc is hacked, cos when i turned it on, i found firefox missing.
I had to reinstall it today. I got avg and zone alarm installed, and i have no idea how someone had access to my computer.

please give me some advice.

Also if there is a way to find who connected to my computer, it will be great thanks.

delete system 32

for starters, try booting to safe mode and running the scans. then just try a system restore from a couple days ago if available.

Is there a way, i can find the person who did this ?

I suggest to remove your antivirus and firewall. Than install Kaspersky Internet Security Trial to clean your system. KIS is the best security tool. Is slow and heavy so take a patients. Meantime download TCPView from sysinternals and you can monitor all your connections. Hope KIS will clean your system. If not you can do system restore as CoolDrMoney said. Wish you luck.

If something that crazy happened to me I'd just save all my important data to DVDs (vids, ebooks, music, PWs, Bookmarks, Emails etc...) Then I'd reformat my drive and reinstall the OS. I'd just take the lumps and reinstall everything.

or any other folder or file ?

Where's my download? This is a Download Section and you're all talking nonsense now.

There are no tools that will allow you to be totally sure of your system.

01. Save everything important to DVD

02. Make sure you have install versions of all your software on DVD

03. Reinstall your operating system. Make SURE you delete the partition table when you do this so as to create a new partition. You can do a quick format to save time

04. After reinstall, In your BIOS make sure the option to protect the MBR (Master Boot Record) is enabled.

05. Use Windows Update to bring the OS to current.

06. Install your security software, firewall, anti-malware, anti-virus, anti-rootkit, etc

07. Then install VMWARE

08. Reinstall your Operating System under VMWARE as a guest operating system. This creates a VM (Virtual Machine)

09. Update your VM with Windows Update, Security Software, etc

10. NOW MAKE 3 or 4 COPIES OF YOUR VM.

11. From now on do all your surfing and Internet Marketing activities FROM INSIDE A VM. If you get infected, dispose of the VM and start again using a new VM.

12. You can have different VM's for different activities. Suring, Developing, Music Production, Writing, Business and Accounting, etc. Just make sure you keep copies ofthem on an external HD for safety.

13. You can do this quite easily by making the main operating system Windows Server 2008, while your guest operating system is your normal Windows XP, Windows 7 or Vista. Make sure you keep copies of your VM on an external hard disk because Windows 2008 will expire every few months and you will have to rebuild it.

Quick, call a geek squad- they will show you step by step how to format your hard drive and reinstall windows.

i think you accidentally deleted the firefox shortcut off your desktop.

I've gotten a bunch of viruses from downloads from this forum.

I'm using Kaspersky.com. It's the trial version, 30 days, but it's working.
