I think I bought a domain with a trademark

I was looking for a domain name in a certain niche. Anyway bought xxxxxxdisqus as xxxxxxdiscuss was taken or w/e, but just after I bought it realized it might be not that good and that disqus is TM.

What do you think? should I build a site around it or just look for smth else?

It really depends on the site and company. Technically they can sue and will most likely win, resulting in you having to give the domain to them. Unless you give them a reason too, most companies won't even notice you have the site. If you start ranking #2 for their brand term, they will notice

My first intent was to use disqus instead of discuss...as I thought was a cool slang term..but now I don't know it disqus was ever a slang word for anything..If it is then I will keep the domain and I also have no intention to rank for disqus. I don't see the point.

My domain is smth like poneydisqus, a place were ppl can discuss about ponnies obv...

Meh, have a crack at it. Disqus isn't a word, and it's a stupid non-word at that. Although that doesn't stop non words from ranking.

I wouldn't put much time or effort into it. Slap some content on it, chuck some links at it when you have the time and see what happens. If it starts to rank and you get a decent amount of traffic then take it more seriously. If the company decide to take it back then give it up.

If you do not use it to compete with the owner of the trademark it doesnt matter. If you make a domain xxxxxapple.com and you talk about the different sort of apples they won't sue you because they wouldn't win the case.

The trade mark on a domain is total BS, If you find a domain available and decide to buy it, go for it. Unless you are selling or publishing the same content as the trade mark owner no one can legally sue you, period.
The trade mark BS is for newbies that will pay some BS company a trade mark verification "fee" so they can buy or sale the domain. Do not fall for it as it is all bogus. If tomorrow the "Mercedes" website becomes available and you are lucky enough to buy it, well it is yours as long as you do not feature cars or product carrying their brand and logo. But if your site is dedicated to a person called Mercedes and her artwork. There is squat the Benz people can do about it apart from buying it form you for whatever you want to sell it for.
