My journey on here began sometime around 2012 (or 13-14 not quite sure) I am interested in reactivating that account on here if possible.
Well anyway. The first interesting thing I found here was a program that is still available (but not very effective anymore) called Follow Liker. a quick google search will direct you to them.
They essentially crawl, like follow/unfolllow and automate all those daunting tasks I was already doing my on IG account that I had organically grown to about 10k already at this point before I even found the bot.
Naturally I used the bot made some money on the side helping other peoples accounts grow. I even made a website for it.
I also created bunch of other accounts using the mother son method (my main account that was now almost 100k back in 2014) using smaller accounts that were also growing and feeding my main account.
Cant say I was making a whole lot of money even building websites for people (another side hustle) was exhausting.
My main account was spiritual activist account. I began getting quite the cult following. That's when the real eureka idea came to me.
I reached out to other similar influencer accounts in my area (California) and asked them if I could take them for a tea to discuss some business.
Then there was five of us. We decided to collaborate our accounts and make spiritual gathering in local parks and beaches. by sharing the one post between our combined accounts making about a 1-2million local reach.
The event welcomed anybody of any age, background color or ethnicity and was about higher consciousness.
I remember the first day we hosted the event at a local park near a famous beach. Police was there at 8am and we set the meeting time for 10am ( I was very nervous because I never obtained a permit).
Luckily the police where there for other reasons and left quite quickly.
As people began to gather I stood with my tribe and announced the beginning of what would become a FREE EVENT FOR CITIZENS OF EARTH.
100's of people showed up to the first one and by the second one there was 1000's
A year later we had traveled around the USA and even held events in Europe.
I was gaining a slight god complex due to celebrities showing up at these events wanting pictures with me etc.
I really wasn't making much money from these events since they were free. My tribe was very supportive and I had surplus volunteers.
There was yoga taught by my wife, local vegan vendors, crystals, jewelry for sale and most importantly workshops, talks and live music performances.
No alcohol was consumed or sold so I got away without ever needing a park permit until we started really getting large.
Ultimately my right hand man who I had first contacted to help me with the event felt like he was being short changed. (Even though his account growth, yoga classes and job opportunities including being invited to be a part of a movie) wanted the event for himself. He began turning people against me. Tried to steal the event for himself and push me out at any cost.
I became very depressed. I was purely doing it out of the joy and thrill of the community we were building together.
Some money did follow. From vendors contributing etc and my IG account exploded even more.
I don't know why I let him get to me. I think I should have just told him he had to leave fire him etc. But my spiritual ego and purpose of the event made me stubborn. I was all "peace and love mannn he will find his way even jesus loved judas"
Lol what a long way I have come since then. I got so depressed after letting the event go my marriage ended not long after.
I lied low for a while worked in a vegan kitchen 4 days a week making minimum wage. Completely stopped posting on all social media.
I was about to leave the USA to travel to Europe until my friend told me to visit him in Hawaii (he had just bought a $4million vacation home) and wanted somebody to help maintain it while he was'nt there (which was 85% of the time).
Omg how could I refuse.
So I spent 2.5 years there (during the pandemic) and finally made my way to Europe because he decided to sell the house.
I'm now living in a shared accommodation 50k in debt (crypto) my current girlfriend just left me (shes fucking gorgeous too btw)
And trying to pick myself back up again. Blessed I was to go to Hawaii and have my time there, but its time to face reality.
Im broke. My ex wants nothing to do with me. My IG account is dead (down to 111k followers last post got 43 likes lol)
Follow liker no longer works (accounts get banned or flagged)
I can still make websites and have a gig making social media content for company that pays me $400 a week. So working from home and still living the dream I guess lol.
My out goings are about 2k (all the debts).
I really don't know what im going to do next. I might try and scale up this social media marketing creation gig. Find more clients etc
But hey. Here is my journey lol and it all started here 10 years ago! I turned 33 yesterday! Lets make this the best year yet!
