Ok so I have my domain sold. I'm still trying to figure out how to transfer it to the buyer. Do I have to pay to transfer it? Because I only have 4 bucks and that would really suck If I had to pay to transfer it.

Who do you hold your domain with? and what account does the other person have?
i.e godaddy

i believe there is a wordpress plugin to download all the databases. u will have to find it and download all the databases with it.
then go to public_html folder and download all other files from there as they are . thats all .

You need to find out what the other person is using, if it is godaddy it is dead easy and won't cost you a penny if it is something else then I have never figured out how to do it and I don't know if they charge, as I said I couldn't figure it out.

You need to unlock the domain and request an authorization code. The buyer initiates the domain transfer and enters the authorization code. Depending on the registrar it can take up to 5 days complete.

Yes I know it something along the lines of this if they have a different domain hoster, but if you both use go daddy, it is even easier.

ask your registrar for any help, that's their 800 number in action. Also, consider if you are selling domains out of a godaddy account, it is simple to 'push' the domain to a new buyer if they also use godaddy. So tell your buyer it will cut 7 to 10 business days off the transfer time, and to let you know when they have set up their 'free' godaddy account and to give you their particulars. There is an excellent tutorial on the godaddy site on how to do this between their accounts. it's the easiest way, so go for it.

if you dont have enough cash, request that buyer to open up a godaddy account. it should be alot easier if you were to push to another godaddy acct.
