I noticed that there is not a MLM forum section here. I was wondering how come? I've been doing Multi Level Marketing for awhile now. It seems to work very well for me because you get the residual pay even though most have a small start up cost...I find it better than just affiliate marketing because of the monthly and weekly checks I get from others efforts as well as my own.

Please do not ridicule me over asking this question as I'm simply just wondering why we do not have a section here for it, but only for affiliate marketing.

I think if we kept the affiliate marketing open and just added a section for MLM that it would also be good for the site to increase page views, traffic and advertising sales.

    Whats your thoughts on this?

To my knowledge, MLM is mostly not internet based, at least not when I first got into it a while ago. BHW is purely internet based stuff, so, that might be the reason why.

LOL Zeek Rewards was the biggest scam ever, but I'm talking about real product base companies some are good. I for one saw Zeek Rewards as a scam from the start.

I have also done affiliate marketing as well and been burnt before on sales too..commission junction went and changed all my links on me and long story short I didn't get paid, so there are messed up companies on both sides.

Still think there needs to be a MLM section for us MLMers.

I believe this site is full of entrepreneurs.

MLM is not really for entrepreneurs.

    MLM is for fools.

Perhaps you have an MLM you want to share, recruit, etc... but I would simply say "YOU need to sign up under ME instead."

If there was an MLM section here, I would troll it daily.

edit - oh... you're selling product based MLM schemes. That's SO different than service based MLM.... so, how much makeup or sex products do you want from me this month?

Yes maybe years ago. MLM has really changed though from the past..unless you are talking about the MLM companies that have been around for ever. We market online full time over here..no sense in beating the pavement when you don't need to and can do it all online. The only difference I see in affiliate marketing and MLM are one has an over head, but then you get the monthly payments from other works as well as product sales. Affiliate Marketing is just one shot sale and thats that, but you don't have the start up cost in it.

@Furious George Thanks for your insight but I have built many websites for clients and such as an entrepreneur..I feel that it is easier to just do the MLM stuff so you don't have to deal with pushy clients who don't wanna pay what your worth. I'm not trying to sell you any thing as we are doing good with what we are doing. I simply wanted to know why there isn't a MLM section on the site.

People already troll the forum daily lol but I understand what you mean. I do agree with the point on the trolling situation but I cant say people who get into it are fools.

Some say it will die when there are no more signups which in theory is true but in reality is false because some people dont sign up, some might after years, some people leave and come back. There are more people using the internet than in any mlm and the internet still has a long way to go.

lol also if selling a service or product is a scam then I beeter not go shopping at any store on the planet oh and my netflix... I definitely need to get rid of that. Wait if netflix pays me a commission for selling there product then they are a scam!!!!

Ignorance breading ignorance. Multi level marketing is legal. Pyramid schemes are illegal. If there is an actual product or service being sold and the commission comes from the product instead of sign ups then where is the issue? You say that doesn't exist? I can name at least 2 (popular ones at that) that exists.

Surely all corporations are set up in some kind of way as multi level in that there are owners, employees, vendors, subcontractors, etc....

The difference being, if I want a job at a corporation, they pay me to do a job. I don't have to pay the company to work there, monthly, in an effort to sell inflated and overpriced products like makeup, dildos, prepaid legal, a shitty version of triple A - to my friends who in turn have to pay ME monthly.

    Here's a great one - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SLfJpmFW-Cs

Affiliate marketing is VERY different than MLM. The only people that say otherwise are MLM recruiters.

MLM is a bow that you put on an ugly baby called a pyramid scheme.

As Furious George said above, most forms of MLM are simply "Pyramid Schemes".

That is why we do not allow MLM on Black Hat World.

    Thank You - "Wiz"

Because most MLMs are scam and it is highly recommended by most, to stay away from them. Adding a MLM Section will make many newbies thing it's a legit thing and most would get scammed.

Ok thanks guys I will take that as an answer some are bad and ...I can see that having to spend admin hours on watching whats going on if there was an MLM section would tie up to many resources as far as closing down the scam forum post and ect...it just would not be feasible and I get it.

I think your right Luka ...some people just jump on the first thing out there...without doing research and end up joining things like zeek rewards. That company gave the whole mlm industry a bad name along with a few others, but really you gotta do your home work and sit back and watch...

The facts are, only the 5% are legit. Only 5% of people in IM, or in MLM, or in forex, etc, make good money with it, then spend the rest of their time saying the 95% failures in the areas they aren't pursuing proves they are a scam. It's the pot calling the kettle calling the pan black.

A more productive approach would be to just point out the traditional flaws in MLM, and in IM etc, but otherwise not throw stones from each other's glass houses. If BHW can still have a MySpace forum years after that opportunity has been dead in the water, they can certainly have a MLM forum devoted to the internet based network marketing companies.

There's more than enough MLM stuff on BHW. There's at least 100 threads about stuff like Empower Network.

Empower Network = Pyramid Scheme for sure, but with a twist to make it legal. Dave &Dave did a good job at making sure they would be able to push this on people for a long time to come. To all the EN guys that might read this; Don't get me wrong I am not knocking it by any means, I'm just voicing my opinion on it.
