I recieved warning regarding domain. They said my domain related with instagram.. And they advice me not to use the domain again. What they can do if i avoid this warning? Or is that ok if i just add the text at the footer of the page that my site not related with any of instagram.com?

I think my domain not related at all.. Yes maybe it sounds but, its just domain name included :17:

See this example

kitchen.com

My domain : howtocookatkitchen.com

Registration and use of domains can violate the Lanham Act (15 U.S.C. 1051 and the following sections) if they infringe or are likely to dilute a trademark. Infringement occurs when a third party?s use of a company?s trademark (or a confusingly similar variation thereof) is likely to confuse consumers as to the affiliation, sponsorship or endorsement of the third party?s services. Trademark dilution occurs when a third party?s use of a variation of a company?s trademark is likely to lessen the distinctiveness of the company?s famous trademark. I am not a lawyer, but if you have a totaly different site that instragram. Then I think you should be fine. But maybe try to get a 15 min free consultation with a trademark lawyer

If you offer any instagram services using that domain name then there is high chance that they can seize that domain or get it deleted. But since you received a threat notice, indeed they are after you and better you may take down your site.

Op,

This one is hilarious but your situation may be similar. Check this out:

What is the nature of the warning? Have they threatened legal action, or just asked you to stop using the domain because they don't like it.

Read the OP again.

@OP, I think you should ignore the warning as the domain got nothing to do with IG imo.
i think you also misunderstood OP, that domain is only an example and it isn't even registered :)
however he didn't really revealed yet that his domain contains "instagram" or any of those words which are mentioned in laowai's post above me, i'm guessing it does contain one of those words at least, hence the warning

to OP, your case isn't the same as what you're referring to, because the "kitchen" word is not trademarked, "instagram" is
