...what should I do or whats actually on my mind is what can THEY do? Should I keep shhtum about it?
Its an affiliate program I joined sometime ago but never got around to promoting with them....yet. So the other day I was surprised to recieve a check from them. I know I have definately not done an promoting with them, I have not even thrown up a website or an link anywhere even.

What you guys reckon? Keep quiet and keep the checks rolling in or will they hunt my ass down if they find out?

Yup, all my details. What if they find out though. Can they ask for it back legally?

cash that bitch, they messed up not you. It would take them forever to figure it out, If they already sent you the check then it is out of their accounting department.

If its for an even amount like 30 or 50 its probably a bonus for signing up you were unaware of.

Maybe someone else has a similar affiliate ID and is wondering why their hard work is producing no results.

Well if you plan to cash it just start thinking up possible excuses like uhhhh.. I was kind of surprised when i first got the check but then i spoke to my pastor and he said that what the lord giveth i shall casheth, so i figured i was receiving this check from my efforts from my past life.

Log into your account and see how your stats look. See how many impressions you are getting. Someone could of made a typo and put your link in instead of theirs. Lots of affiliates are only 1 number apart from each other.

Remove it from your mind - contact the company and ask if you can send it back. They may tell you to keep it.

If the check was really yours, you would not have asked the question. You know what you need to do... make it happen... ignore those that say "cash it". Do what you would want the other person to do. We all make accidents but that does not mean that we should stumble each time.

Keep it and wait 2 months, check usually expire in 90-180 days. If they havent said anything about it in 2 months time I think its fairly safe to cash it.

I say buy a .info and throw a few of their links up. Send a little junk traffic. cash the check. That way if they ever call you, you have been 'promoting'.

Well I guess you could always say that since you regularly get a lot of checks (how'd they know even if you don't?) you don't really check them one by one anymore and it just automatically went to the huge pile that you took to the bank. :p

That is, if they contact you.

If it is an overseas check do not cash it.

Bank can credit you account, but months later the overseas bank could cancel the check....even though the money appears in your account.....and you drew upon it......then you can lose $$$ (exchange rate, bank fees). Yes, I know it's strange.

Is it possible that someone acquired your details, then sent you a check with this purpose in mind?

Soz, I had that slightly wrong, but the overall impression was there.

Sounds like bad juju. Or maybe I'm just paranoid?

Uh .... actually "I" was promoting with your account ...uh... in the hopes that ...uh ... maybe you'd send be 50% of every cheque because ...uh... I get banned from all the CPA networks and ...uh ... anyone else want to sent me their logins for the same deal?

Obviously there is proof that it works.

    ( I'm joking, of course ).
