    Hello BHW,

I am really confused at what the heck I am doing. I have built a many of sites
and backlinked and such but am still missing a piece of the puzzle. I have had some decent success in the offline marketing realm but when it come to affiliate marketing or adsense or whatever I just can not figure it out.

Does anyone know of a step by step plan that I can get a hold of or something to create some passive income. Please no BS gimmicks, I have been there and done that. I would just like some straight up honesty. I know the internet is not dead and that there is still money to be made. Could someone help.

I know how to build websites, I know how to write articles, I even understand creating backlinks, but something is missing. Thank you for your immediate response.

PS. I know there is no pie in the sky offer and I know I have to work hard, but just need some guidance.

"understand creating backlinks", you've said you KNOW how to do the other things, but just Understand backlinks?

    How do you backlink?

You can rank a blank page for a keyword with just backlinks :)

I guess what I am trying to say is how in the heck do you make money on the internet through affiliate marketing, adsense, etc...

I can get a site to the front page in the offline world, just can't seem to make it happen in the affiliate, adsense world.

I just want to make money? And am looking for some pointers. Sorry if I made my statements seem vague.

I like the concept of Adsense and have tried it on a few sites, but get no where with it. I am sick of all the junk, just looking for some real honesty for a change.

What do you need to know? I basically just call around and get clients, get them to the front page, and they pay me...I can go into more detail. Just not sure what you are looking for, seriously.

You get a site ranking the same whether it is for an offline business or for affiliate sales. Offline businesses (I think that's what you're talking about by "offline world") are usually easier to rank because there is less competition. You need to build more links for adsense and affiliate sites but the concepts are all the same.

I am constantly on this computer hours upon hours a day, and getting no where. I am reading and working trying to figure this one out just thought someone out there might like to help, if not, I completely understand!

How do you know that you've been successful offline? I don't mean this to be disrespectful, but how do you know? You know because your bank account has grown from offiline? That you did a, which resulted in b, which lead to c?

What you probably did was you came up with a plan, you executed it, and you saw good results. The same thing is true in IM.

If we're talking about an adsense site, first, do your keyword research. Get a good theme which will boost CTR. Secondly, either create good content, scrape + spin, or pay someone else to write it for you. Once you have a good number or posts, start building backlinks.

How you build will vary. There are a ton of good methods to keep you out of trouble in a post-panda world, but you need to document exactly what you are doing otherwise you won't know what will work and what won't. Once you've built backllinks (ideally you will do this yourself, then outsource it once you know how), keep on doing it until you've hit #1. If you have done the research necessary, that should be your first victory.

If it's not, and you fail just like most people do when they start out, change up your process. Build backlinks in different ways, write your own content instead of scraping/spinning, do your KW research different. If you don't even know enough how to even formulate a plan, this forum is the best resource you have. Check out all the newbie guides and pick and choose bits that you think will work. Always document your steps and your results.

This stuff is not easy, but if you have a plan and execute on that plan, you will at least be charting the path to your success.

Even before you get down to building the site, the key things to remember are selecting the right niche and correct keyword research.

Here's a couple of good guides for Adsense:

you say you can get clients and rank them for local keywords ???

Make your own site, rank it for keywords, throw adsense on = $$$

    Repeat

If you don't know how to do keyword research: LEARN .. If not, just head over to Cyberzilla's thread and buy some keywords. Rank for them and he will even help you with monetizing it

So you say you understand everything, so I think it's just a matter of application.

Get Your Keyword Research In Check.

    Some recommended threads.

    Write Quality Articles

Google doesn't like to rank shit writing, so make sure your articles are top notch.
Also try to make it look like you aren't just creating a site to throw up adsense.
Provide something useful for your users.

    Relevant Backlinks

Anyone can build backlinks all day long, but take the time to make sure they are coming from relevant sites/articles. (Guest posting on blogs is great for this)

    Read More, Follow People

When I first started on this forum, I was green, didn't know shit (still don't), and hadn't made a dime.

This guy I kept seeing around the forums seemed like he had his shit in order, and from the sounds of it, he owned big, authority sites generating him passive income.
This is exactly what I wanted to have, so I clicked on his name, found all posts by him, and started reading.
Applied what I learned, and although I'm not there yet, I get closer every day.

    Take action my friend.

    Best of luck to you.

This is the exact reason why I am starting to love BHW, you all are honest and understandable. I have a lot to learn in this IM world and I do appreciate all of you all for your posts. I am going to start looking into all of the posts you all told me to read and see what I can come up with.

I am a little curious though, I do have a copy of Fat Cat Blueprint, do anyone of you recommend me reading this because I do know it is a little out of date. Thought anyone?
