I ranked #5 in Aerospace?

Sorry for the clickbaity title but that is what the search console leads me to believe even though it isnt true. Please pardon my noob. Just bought a job board here on BHW, it ranks in search console for tons of keywords due to the nature of all the automatic posting. No page views though lol. Anyway search console says my average position in Aerospace is 4.9. I searched it and obviously I'm nowhere to be found. I searched it in same window not expecting to find it and I didn't. Can someone please tell me how search console works. I thought avg. position means my rank for that keyword in SERPS. Is that not the case? Thanks for any help.

EDIT: one more thing while I potentially have the attention of someone smarter than me lol, on search console I see clicks on my impressions. Not a ton but like 20 total. But on analytics I have no pageviews? Please see Is this thing bugged or am I not reading it right? I can provide pics if needed.

The impressions you got was because of the algorithm testing your website for that keyword in a small dataset. ofc job board cant rank for the keyword so you wont be able to find it ranking in google now.

its average position, not your keyword ranking position....
google it just to confirm yourself....

Click on the search query to see other details like country, language etc. Your keyword may appear first in Japan, but nowhere to be found in USA. GSC shows average position for the selected dates. So, it'll show you first although the keyword doesn't rank in USA.
