I rank well on Google - Bad on Bing - Suggestions?

Hey,

My visitors from search engines:
Per day average:
Google: ~500
Bing: 1

I am sitting on position 1-3 on many keywords on Google. On Bing I'm on page 2-10 with the same keywords. Has someone experienced this problem and what did you do to fix it?

The problem with trying to optimizing for Bing is that you have a high probability of getting your site penalized on Google. If you feel ranking on Bing is worth it, then I'd suggest setting up a new site exclusively for bing/yahoo. Both search engines run on slightly different algorithms so its best to take this route.

Not like Google, Bing still rank sites based on some old methods which Google used 10 years ago for example high keyword density in your posts, number of backlinks to the site etc..

What I was thinking. With a separate website you can rank good for bing, yahoo and duckduckgo all in one. Just make sure that you won't have any problems with duplicated content if you run 2 websites.

Is the traffic on Bing worth it? What's the ratio of traffic on Google vs Bing for your keyword? If you think its worth it then you can create another domain with the same old method targeted just for Bing, you might have a better chance that way.

Forget about Bing, what kind of niche are you own that you are worried about Bing?

Get a stronger social link profile and get more active with your site's Facebook/Twitter accounts. Keyword density may also be too low for Bing, but be careful not to make it so high that it hurts Google. Perhaps you need different landing pages for Bing if on-site is the entire case. I'd be wary about screwing up your Google rankings by chasing Bing.

I'm top 5 for many keywords on Google. NOWHERE on Bing, NOWHERE on Yahoo (for 99% of queries). F*ck 'em, they're vastly inferior sources of traffic and you have to risk Google penalties to do well on Bing where they value spam and mega KW densities like it's 2005.

Bing is worth it. Google isn't the only player in the house.

Yeah build a new emd or pmd domain just for bing and yahoo. You can use the same content but make sure you disallow yahoo/bing bots on site A (old site) and disallow google on site B(new site).

I want to have your problems. I often tend to rank higher in bing than in Google. Sucks.
