Yeah. I hate what it turned into. Those wp bakery and elementor themes taking 80% of that market. Or developing something from scratch which takes two times as much as normal development and basically is an attempt to fix outdated technology. Wouldn't recommend to my enemies.

Personally, I'd pick WordPress all the time. I have tried most of the platforms, they just don't suit my needs. I do think WordPress stands there for a reason

Webflow is new compared to wordpress, but a lot of top notch digital agencies use it already, just check it out, I was sure wordpress was the best and nothing else came close, but this thing is really well done.

Top Digital agencies turn it into something it isn't. And they have budgets for everything. Meh.

I just stick to html + php and it works wonders. Really, all those CMS just slow down the websites lol.Webflow... say what you want, but this thing is a real beast and you avoid so many headaches.

I can't stand these tricks. Markdown or gtfo.
Start with # to make h1, each subsequent hash (#) is a smaller heading. You can break your headline with enter and it's not going to inherit that formatting. And these markdown editors like Obsidian are OP.
You upload a .md file into a directory and it's done. No copying from one editor to another. No unexpected behavior on 3k word long article. Good experience.

I still wouldn’t recommend straying too far from WP though, esp for easy ecommerce solutions. It’s too big to fail.
It can be quite convoluted and tedious to work with, hence why I thought that’s what you were talking about.

Seriously? Wordpress is dead while almost 40% websites in the internet are made with Wordpress? As an agency owner, we use both Wordpress and Webflow. For the clients who are concentrated on quick ppc results and SEO, or a limited budget, Wordpress is our go to platform. Cost us less and easy to maintain.
Webflow however, it’s game changing if the client is expecting a high end website mostly for showcase purpose rather than marketing. We charge at least 3x times what we would charge from a normal Wordpress client.
Either way Wordpress is far from dying.

On a bit more serious note. Have you tried Brizy.Cloud, they use Bunny.Net as CDN? Seems way cheaper, with almost the same features and Whitelabel, they are VERY cheap in comparison. Don´t mixup Brizy.Cloud with their WordPress pagebuilder, 2 separate services.

Funny that you open this thread because I´ve been watching a hell lot of videos and tutorials about Webflow being better than WordPress when it comes to building highly customizable, dynamic, fully functional, and professional-looking websites.Webflow... say what you want, but this thing is a real beast and you avoid so many headaches.

Never tried it, I did open an account and loaded a template but that´s about it!
Very intrigued about it.

i think it's a lot about what you want to do too. WordPress may not be perfect, but its a very mature platform; you have plugins for loooots of specific stuff that you simply don't have anywhere else codefree. lots of ways to do a nice, fast landing page or an online store. but if you want a personalized autoblog or a Udemy style page, i don't know other options as easy as WordPress + some plugin. plus, I have been doing a few pages with oxygen (mostly for fun) lately, and it's quite fast.
also, we cant really go about our lives learning every tech that's marginally better than the last one. if in 5 years clients are explicitly asking for web-flow, sure, i will think about it, but for now, every moment you spend familiarizing yourself with new platform is time you didnt spent making money or enjoying life. unless you enjoy learning this stuff, which is a thing too.
lastly, every time i see a service like that, i get this gut feeling they are waiting to gobble enough market share to ramp up the prices lol.
