Depends what sort or business you are doing online. But when young should keep options open.
I have degree in corporate finance, and have only ever worked 1 intern in a finance position.
After that worked for a marketing company, then software development.
I'm now in a senior position in a field completely unrelated to what I studied.
Career progression isn't always a straight line.

With IM though, I started my first website along time ago, whilst working an entry level job whilst still studying.
It didn't cost much, just the domain and hosting which was like $10 a month or less, then promoted through forums, social media, message boards etc for free. It didn't fail because I couldn't afford to run it. It failed because I was inexperienced.
The only way to get experience is to try, and it doesn't cost much to try.

Most people in this thread saying "you should get a job" or a "real job" didn't make a fking dime online
Compare online to offline , let's say you took a job offline , you limited yourself to some xxxx per month max (depend on your country) , its more safe BUT compare it to the reach you can have online !
Its either giving your hard work and your precious hours to someone else or you get the most of it .
It's hard , its fucking very hard but calculate it 8 hours per day for 1 year (and you are stuck to some job you hate) OR fking 18+ hours per day with no pay for few months with a plan you have )
18+ Seems hard but its temporary , any method here with 8-10 months of twisting can get you much more of any other job
Attaching a report for a project i started like 4 months ago (not bragging as im still testing, but just motivation ) i declared bankruptcy 3 times so def not bragging ! (an trust me those numbers are just a play , they just happened , didn't focus on them 100% )

its very hard and most IM'ers work years before they make any $, 3 years is not enough

imo financial freedom is worth more than a job, people make millions with IM as we speak
