It's kind of sad that we now call these relationships "partners". It implies that you are not "all in" and only temporarily using each other for mutual benefit and then when it's convenient to do so, change partners.
Yes, I realize even married couples can easily get a divorce and the pains of divorce much worse than partners just splitting up (because of the legal ramifications of the marriage contract). But what the point is, is that people lack commitment, loyalty, and unconditional love, that they don't want to go
"all in" and commit. They want to have one foot in and one foot out and think this is love and this is what sacrifice and commitment is all about.
I wish everyone the best in their relationships and it's nothing personal with this couple. I don't mind age gaps, wealth gaps, or fame gaps. As long as people are genuine and found love (which is rare), I hope it brings out the best. But this "partner" thing is disturbing.
