Absolutely—Japan’s totally worth it. You’ll get world-class food (think fresh sushi and ramen), spotless and super-efficient trains, safe cities, and a cool mix of ancient temples and neon Tokyo streets. Plus the people are friendly and it’s easy to get around.
I’m Japanese and currently live in Osaka. It’s wonderful to see so many positive comments about Japan!
If you’re planning a trip, I highly recommend visiting both Kyoto and Osaka. Kyoto, just a short ride from Osaka, is steeped in history and offers an ideal introduction to traditional Japanese culture. Osaka, meanwhile, is a vibrant, modern city—and with the World Expo now underway, it’s an especially exciting time to come.
Very worth to visit, I've been there 4 times. I can even help you create an itinerary for free if necessary
For first timer, spend at least one week in Tokyo, so many things to do
