If your description was "used, but like brand new", then personally I would expect it to have nothing but the tinniest almost unnoticeable marks on it.
Just refund the guy his shipping costs and chalk it up to experience.

Wow that sucks man. Have fun with bill collectors til then. Just a bit of advice, anything you sell on ebay, sell it with No Refund. Most people dont look at the refund status when they go to buy an item. This makes it so you never have to worry after you sell. The only thing to worry about is bad feedback if the item sucks. Best of luck dude

Hey man, guess what. I did have no refunds on. But supposedly once a buyer claims item not as described, the no refunds term doesn't count anymore. And d*mb*ss eBay is behaving like a judge in a court listening to only one side of the story. It's ridiculous. I will have a ton of fun with the bill collectors for sure!
Not to be a moral cop, but you should refund the money if he returned your item in the condition that you sent it to him... I don't know what you expect ebay to do at this point, they arent going to let you off the hook since the buyer is out 1000 + 70 eu and you have your item. You basically stole that money... giving ebay a bad name and the reason why ebay is so buyer sided now... because of bad sellers and scammers. Anyways, you won't get sued. 1000eu wont even cover the lawyer cost. Your information will get sold to collection agencies. Heading into no mans land...
I know that If I got the item back I should give the money back. However, I don't want the item back. And I wrote no refunds, and my description was correct. So I have some rights here. eBay has no right to make a one sided judgement. They're nto even a court. So I can either ship the sax back and they pay for the shipping, or they got nothing.

OP, it seems you are making a stand on principle.
This is very noble, but unfortunately these types of things have a habit of coming back and biting you on the ass and emptying your wallet.
It isn't worth the hassle.
Refund the guy his money then just re-list the item with a better description and a clear no refund policy.

Thanks man, and you're probably right. But I will stand with my principle, that's the type of person I am. I just came here for some opinions and to understand a bit better what could happen. So thanks everyone for the help. But I will stand with my decision.

That's rough man. It sucks because with things like selling on eBay and Amazon, the buyer always wins because it's their word on the condition. I've had to give so many refunds on clearly working stuff just because the buyer was unhappy with shipping speed or something and so they lie to ebay/amazon about condition.
For future reference, be sure to say your item is sold as-is with no refunds if it is an actual working item.
