i never believed in depression, it's a word that everyone can use "hey i got depression" , you can simply feel bored and call it depression.
but recently due what's happening in my life i feel like i'm about to collapse, i sit infront of the laptop whole day and then this feeling comes from no where.
i join IM willing to have a better life, i can't turn back now, i'm questioning my life and feeling like this on daily basis... i'm lost.

It comes and goes, but just know that it will get better. It happens to millions of people every single day. You're not alone. Just know that there's always a light at the end of the tunnel. Keep busy so you can't surround yourself with negative thoughts. If you're really struggling, it can help tremendously talking to a doctor and getting prescribed to medicine. Don't let depression beat you. Good luck on your IM journey.

If you ever need someone to talk to, feel free to PM me.

This industry can become inundating at times. For me, it's not even the work or the clients; it's the whole industry itself. Allow me to list a few examples:
  • I no longer enjoy using the Internet; it either feels like a chore now and I can't look at a website now without seeing what tactics they're using to mislead their visitors.
  • There are people who contact me via Skype and PM asking me to do illegal work or a lot of free work (don't worry, I'm not referring to you; there are a ton of other people who do this to me on a regular basis). I don't mind helping people, but there are some people who just have no respect for my time and treat me like I'm a computer rather than a person.
  • I've never liked the idea of being at the mercy of Google, Facebook, YouTube, etcetera. I've always wanted a small business that doesn't rely so much on bigger companies for success.
  • There are many people who contact my clients offering them "SEO" services without knowing how to actually do it. While I educate my clients on common scams in the industry, it still bothers me knowing that these people are not only ruining the businesses of other people, but that these people are so abundant.
Some days, all of this comes at me all at once. I wouldn't call it depression as much as it is frustration, though at times I've even considered focusing on a different endeavour (and I might work on changing my business model to fix some of those issues I have). Although getting away from the computer for a bit helps out. After all, as Dagreyon said, it comes and goes.

get out of the house as well ...... its not good to sit al day in front of the laptop ---> that is boring.
if you have no friends join a fitness club or whatever to get some regular social live which will cheer you up.

Stay at it man and don't get depressed. Getting depressed is common along people and you need to get out of it asap!

I have recently developed depression too my friend. I find it really helps to get out of the house and don't think about anything just live in the moment and enjoy it. Music really helps too get a good set of headphones and really get into your music. Also I find that exercise and a healthy diet is extremely important in feeling good. Hope it helps! PM if you ever wanna talk.
