Hello guys,
So I am planning to change my old laptop and buy a new one for my studies and work , and I need a laptop that can handle rendering images and videos with 3d softwares such as Lumion and 3Ds max, but I am not very into laptop configs a lots, that's why I need your opinion about this one that I found, should I buy it or no & what do you think!

Dell precision 7560
I7-11850H (16CPUs)
Ram 64GB 1000GB NVMe
Graphics NVIDia T1200 laptop GPu

Thanks a lot..

Looks good enough. Choose a lap top with a good graphics at least 4GB

If you're going to use 3d render programs I advise you to look at a laptop with a good graphics card (rtx 4-8gb will get the job done) and also a good nvme disk to help with render times.

1 thing a lot people not aware when come to laptop categories, it categorize in consumer laptop vs commercial laptop (also known as business use laptop)

I recommend choose commercial laptop as it is more durable & heavy duty compare to consumer laptop.

Video Editing is very cpu intensive, while your build is good, i would recommend going a bit higher or even the 12th gen of that model would be a huge plus since 12th gen has a few more cores over the 11th gens

obviously, not sure where you are purchasing it from but it's an idea of how much more you have to spend (in the states) if you were to upgrade to an i9 or xeon chip

That's great choice, but I would still recommend that you can use 12th intel CPU or using AMD (but it's from my perspective since I don't do 3d much)

Check out Lenovo ThinkPad P15 Gen 2 and HP ZBook Power G8 as viable alternatives. Dell is a bit overpriced tbh.

That laptop looks good for what you want to do, I'd definitely get it.

Try HP Or Apple with this configuration. Dell is also good, but after using sometimes it may go slow down little bit.

Good but for rendering consider Nvidia RTX series , it would cost you good but would render great !

I would recommend something, but I think, you already were, just go with this one

Over 2k for that garbage for 3d work and rendering? Jesus.
You won't be able to render for long while the laptop is unplugged so might as well go for a ryzen 6800h+rtx 3070.
I don't even know why people would recommend you buy this overpriced shit.
