Hello BHW Residents,
I need your opinion today. There are a few acres of fields left from my grandfather in my village. (physical fields) It cannot be said that there are very fertile fields, so I cannot farm. I can only plant trees, but certain species...

My main job is Back-end development. I serve companies in PHP and Python languages. So my question to you is, how do you think I can evaluate these few acres? At first, I thought of opening a social media account, but I don't think it would be very useful. What would you do? My goal is to earn additional money from the land by using the benefits of the internet.

See what can be grown then sell products.

Many do this direct.

If your allowed put camper site up for tents and campers per day and week holiday grounds.

If you got many universities around you in the tree and land education can hire land to help students learn about plants

If it allowed can have motorbike rides around the fields.

All can be Internet advertised

Yes, that's what came to my mind at first. However, planting a tree and waiting for fruit is both time consuming and very challenging. Since my main job is different, I don't have much time to devote to it. Thanks to the internet, I hope to find something different. This is officially the heaven of the internet world, I'm sure something will come out of me.

Maybe this can be useful. Thanks, I'll add it to the list.

Unfortunately, the place where I am is not very functional, so university etc. There are no institutions.

It is too small for motorcycle space in the field. :(

I understand your situation. If you are from India, then I have a suggestion for you that suits Indian climatic conditions.

Try Aloe Vera farming!

Aloe Vera is a kind of herb that requires very little maintenance, less water and gives awesome returns. It is a very stubborn plant that survives hot climate and many herbal product companies are willing to buy its yield.

If farming is not your main business and you don't want to devote more time on farming side hassle, then consider doing Aloe Vera farming as it requires very less efforts.

You can find more information on this on Google and You Tube.

What do you think?

No, I'm not in India. I actually researched growing Aloe Vera, but in my country it grows more in the west side, I stay in the east side of my country and you won't believe it but it is not very suitable for growing in my area. But maybe if I make a greenhouse, but the greenhouse will also bother me.

Ok, in that case you will have to find some other suitable crop in your country. Good Luck.

Yes its an awesome idea and the most invested field and the outcome is also great.

If it's allowed, I would start a weed farm - it doesn't need to be huge, and there are plenty of modern methods to yield crops on any kind of land.

Does it recieve a good amount of sunlight? It could just be as simple as setting up a solar / wind farm and selling that electricity to the local council / government.

Initial investment may be high depending on the size of the land, but overtime it could pay off itself and then some.

I'm not very optimistic about raising things, actually it seems to keep me busy all the time. Since this is not my main profession, I can't spare much time.

It only gets light in certain months. My country is in a generation with 4 seasons. Solar panels will stay passive for most of the year and I don't want that. I don't think I can build something huge like a wind panel on my land.
