You asked so many questions. You are overcomplicating things. 5 to 10 long articles with proper interlinking and good links from relevant pages to the topic is more than enough. No need to spam index links. If you really want to nail the keyword, get links from niche-based sites with good rankings.

I should say the most important thing about backlinks is not quantity, it is about quality so don't determine a backlink quantity.
In my opinion, firstly focus on the page SEO and content. Secondly use Ahrefs or Semrush to learn backlinks of the website ranked on the first page. Try to get the same backlinks. Use social signals Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, and Pinterest. Lastly, try to get backlinks from the website which ranked in the keyword search result or related website.
You should wait at least 2 or 3 months for results.

No, I don't think so. They are not a natural backlink resource so don't waste your money. You need to get backlinks related to your website and your keywords.

Keep posting. Do keyword research and keep posting until 4 month. after 4 month build Quality backlinks. after wait and see results.

If you mean creating your blog for backlinks, it is not enough because your backlinks should stronger than your website. If you create your pbn than you need backlinks for them.
If you mean one page website for that keyword, yes it is sufficient but it is more difficult to reach higher rank in keyword than the website has more article.
