I need your excuse...

Hey guys!

I need your Black Hat Mind because I order a proxy server from a freelancer. My VPS provider can give me external IPs but they told me that they are not allowed to give them like that (I asked for 70).

They told me that there's an organization (RIPE) which is very strict and they just allow external IPs for technical services. So they asked why do I need them for?

I tried to be White Hat and tell them that I run accounts on Social Media for Clients and I wanted to assign 1 IP per client to be safe with their work but they told me that that's not a reason to get IPs.

SO... What would you think is a good way to ask for 70 IPs, that is reliable and White Hat, so they will say: Oh sir, here are your IPs.

Note: My freelancer said that I can try with: "Corporate Network proxying usage" I don't have a clue what that means... lol

I'll explain you how it works for the hosting company. They own some IP blocks. If they give you a chunk of it and you happen to be a spammer, they will get blacklisted (sometimes, even for the rest of the block) and it will cost them money (time) to get those IP out of the blacklist, plus it will be harder to sell those IPs again in the meantime. So, they ask for justification (which is related to RIPE, as you've heard).

You best bet is a) to find a host that will agree to rent you the IPs before you go and buy their services (i.e. presales discussion) or b) go with a big company that has a bus load of IP blocks and doesn't really care (like OVH, they rent server with 254 IPs, if you get asked "you want to host your clients").

As long as you can reasonably appear as a non-spammer, hosts want to get your money.

Actually i cant understand your mixed opinion ,what is you expectation.Which purpose do you want to use 70 IPs,How it was configured for you ,Which purpose do you want to know is it white hat or black hat....
If VPN down,how they connect,You can check permission why not connecting

Ok, that just opened my mind.

And I sent an email to OVH a few hours ago haha, then probably they will accept. But the one I asked before is the one I have all the services with, so I was hoping to get everything with one provider.

I run several accounts, for the moment all white hat for organic growing. Some for clients and some for me. So I want to be safe.

For the moment I was using a lot of phones and it's perfectly fine, but very time consuming, so i'm improving my setup.

EDIT: And btw I'm not thinking of making the IP's "dirty" because I will run all my GOOD accounts with that subnet

Just look for a host that would be willing to offer you that.

Ok! I talked with OVH today and they have no problem with giving me 256 IPs. Now there's a new doubt...

I can ask for a Public Cloud = "cheap" or a private cloud = "super expensive". But my wonder is if I pick a Public Cloud the IPs they give me can be from a flagged subnet? Because I believe public means shared.

And it pisses me that I have to pay for a better server to get more than 16 IPs haha

Ask what the cost for a replacement subnet is if the IPs happen to be blacklisted. Also, as a quick and dirty assessment, spin (create, boot, test, destroy) a few 3 Euro public cloud instance and see if their IPs are blacklisted.

if you're looking to run insta accounts, you won't have any luck with ovh as most of the ips are blacklisted by ig due to the massive spam mid last year

If you already gave him a reason and he said no.. if you just give him another reason, won't he know you're lying?

Thank you! I will look for ways to check if the IP is blacklisted, I don't really know how, but I think Google can give me an explanation really quick.

Yep... that's my worry, because I'm trying to grow accounts in an organic way and I just want the IP to be able to run a ton of them and automate the publish thing. But I'm loosing the hope on this approach. I will try anyways and if I fail I will keep doing thing with my WiFi and a lot of phones.

Well... it's a big company so each time you reach their Support not the same person talks with you, but I tried again calling by phone instead of emailing and they said the same, so I'm moving with the next provider.

I meant, set up a proxy with it and use that with your software. I assume that f it's blocked, your software will fail to produce results.
