I Need to deindex something from Google

A friend of mine recently asked me if it was possible to take a search result off of Google and doing my own research I haven't found a way under this circumstance.

The story is he signed up for this dating site a 8 months ago and than maybe 3 months ago he deleted his profile.

Google still comes up with a cached version of his profile if you search it up.

I don't think there is a way to deindex something from google if you are not the site owner and also I imagine Google's cache will update or remove it when it crawls the site again but I just wanted to know if there was a faster way to get this out of Google's cache besides just waiting it out?

Bro trying to get a little on the side and cover his tracks, huh? You can't deindex a page unless you own the site. He's just going to have to wait it out/sweat it out and hope his girlfriend/wife doesn't notice.
 
he should contact his dating site and ask them to ask google deindex his profil and better secure their user infos

Why would he care about a cached profile? Dating someone from the FBI?
That "friend of yours" is you, right? I'd say you should plead the 5th, get a lawyer and bribe someone to testify it was all just some freak case of some new kinda google cache poisoning and hackers stole your identity. :)

seriously, google cache is usually gone after a few months or so.
Was it my any chance archived by archive.org? What about the other sites that cache stuff? You never thought about that did you? You're eternal here in the internets, pal.

I'm afraid so. I use the google to search the intertubes for myself on occasion to see what pops up. I will occasionally find stuff from 8-9 years ago that mysteriously pops up and goes away by the time I get around to searching again. Very bizarre.

I can't quote the source, but I seem to remember reading an article where the google plans to have infrastructure in place to keep 300 years of information indexed and searchable.

If he has deleted the profile, then when someone click on the search results, it should go to a 404 redirect. Right?
The only place where you can see his old profile should be the google cache. I don't think normal surfers will click on the google cache links.

What you can try is to build some backlinks to the old profile URL. So when google finds a new backlink to the profile it will try to crawl the page and end up with a 404 page. If you build couple of links, google will soon update the cache.
 
Won't google remove it if you tell them to crawl the url?

So build a few backlinks and ping the url.

Best way is to register on a forum that has public profiles and signatures. As soon as you register put a backlink in your signature and if its an active forum then Google will immediately crawl the new account.

Also, submit the forum profile to digg.com and Google will see it.
edit: oh and submit the main url also to digg.com

if you're really desperate on de-indexing the site. do BH on it. ;)
 
You can't ask google to De-index anything , you can just try to push the search results down , that's what reputation management is all about.
Create dummy blogs on your friends name , build few links to them .
In this way the dummy blogs will be climb up in rankings , pushing dating website to second page
 
i could deindex everything up to pr3 but its pricey
