Why not upgrade your RAM? It is not very expensive to buy an additional memory and add it to your motherboard 
But it will make great difference for your system if you don't have sufficient ram.

All it does is allocate some memory and then write zeroes to it. It should do the trick.
It will compile on any platform with standard c libraries.

2. Type: "%windir%\system32\rundll32.exe advapi32.dll,ProcessIdleTasks" in the box.
3. Click Next.
4. Give your shortcut a nice name like "Clear Memory".
5. Click Finish and you're done.
You can easily automate this with a batch file or a simple scheduled task to run every hour.. No programs needed

Hi, check your Apps for Updates. The problem can be caused by a memory leak which has this affect.
A Tipp for all SEO's: Never use a PC with less memory. If your memory is full, your system get's instable. And a instable system is much more vulnerable for Viruses. Even a Virus Killer can't help.
