    Hey Guys,
I have been looking online for an internet marketing related 9 to 5 job and I landed myself an interview for one! I'm pretty happy about it. Anyway, my background has been mostly website design work and some technical writing. The position is for a content writer. Responsibilities include: article spinning, article submission, article writing, etc.

They want someone that has experience with, Search Engine Optimization concepts and keyword research and using keyword research tools.

From reading the information in these forums and online in general, I am pretty confident I can do the job. My only problem is that I don't have a portfolio to reflect what I know. I haven't written any of my own articles, I have always outsourced this part. And I haven't submitted any content to article directories or anything lately, so I basically have nothing right now.

I'm trying to figure out the easiest and most effective way to communicate to my employer that I know the concepts, I have experience, so I can get the job. Any and all information would be greatly appreciated!

So basically you have applied for a job which you know nothing about and you don´t have any experience within the field? It sounds like you might be the wrong person on that position, don´t you think?

Make a portfolio. He isn't going to hire you if you have never done it before.
