I use four tricks that are tried and proven when it comes to reducing bounce rates.
The first is the easiest: You have to offer multimedia content.
I'm talking about pictures, diagrams, and videos.
You don't have to necessarily create these.
But thanks to Ai you can create all sorts of graphics.
The key here is to highlight or explain or otherwise add value to whatever content you have on that page.
This makes your visitors stop and get a full picture of what it is you're trying to say and possibly stick around longer, and this can reduce your bounce rate.
The second thing that I do is to write in a short, punchy way.
A lot of people who do SEO tend to cram a lot of words into their texts.
This is going to scare a lot of people off.
Even if you use short sentences and short paragraphs, people are still going to be scared off because that's a lot of reading.
Instead of focusing on the word count, focus on the impact of your ideas.
Are you packing in a lot of information in an easy-to-understand-and-digest way?
That's how you should do it.
The third thing that I do is that I use picture words.
I really draw the reader in by hooking them with a key question or some sort of emotionally triggering first sentence.
Now once I get them to emotionally engage with the content, I add in all sorts of hooks.
I appeal to fear, guilt, greed — you name it!
The key is to keep them hopping through the page.
It doesn't feel like a chore.
It doesn't feel like they're reading a novel.
Instead, you're emotionally engaging them, and this enables you to keep more eyeballs on the page.
This of course reduces your bounce rate.
To do this the right way, you need to pace yourself.
You can't just put an attention-grabbing title or story, and then after a lot of words, they go to the next hook.
That's not gonna work.
You are basically just using your headings to keep them engaged.
Instead, you have to do this on an almost paragraph-by-paragraph basis.
There has to be some sort of strategy to it.
Otherwise, you're just wasting your time.
The fourth thing that I use is the power of stories.
Human beings make sense of the world through stories.
And if people just see you using keywords or jargon or all other bullshit, they're not gonna stick around because they've seen that in many other places.
Why would they stick around your site when they've seen your stuff in many other places?
Instead, tell a story about why the information that they're looking for has some importance.
Try to turn their desire for that information into an emotionally engaging story that they can identify with.
If you're able to do this, you're basically letting the reader know that you understand what they're looking for.
You're able to get inside their head and sell to them.
Remember, if you want to make money online (or offline for that matter), you have to learn how to sell.
And telling the right story to get the person to engage with whatever information they're presenting is definitely a major step in the right direction.
The final trick that I use is to call them into action.
Calling people to action is often neglected.
This is really too bad because a lot of people put in a lot of effort publishing an amazing piece of content, but a lot of that is basically forgotten.
People don't even read that stuff.
The key here is to use the 4 tricks that I've laid out above, and then call people to action to action to read the next step, and then read the next block of text.
This also enables you to get people to click page after page of your content.
And the more the reader gets into the guts of your content, the lower your bounce rate.
That's how you play the game.
The stakes are too high to play the game any other way.
This requires expert writing.
This requires a solid strategy.
You can't just write whatever you know about your keyword and call it a day.
You're just wasting your time.
Your content has to be structured the right way.
It has to hit the right emotional buttons, or you're just wasting your time.
And let me tell you: AI is not going to save you.
This has to be done by a human being.
